- South Portland has TWO Little Leagues - South Portland American and South Portland National. The League to which you register is based on your residence. Basically, people, who live on streets from Highland Avenue and/or Nutter Road toward the Maine Mall, will register for South Portland American Little League(SPALL). Those who live on streets from Nutter Road toward the ocean will register for South Portland National Little League(SPNLL). To check the streets included in SPALL, please look for your street by following the "SPALL Boundaries" link. If you want to transfer to the South Portland National site, click the "SPNLL" link.

The 2010 Maine District 6 Champions!
Saco-Biddeford Savings recently captured the SPALL Major Softball Championship with a gritty one to nothing victory over three time reigning champion Amatos. The bank sponsored group also captured the regular season title with a 10 and 2 record. For players Abby Young,Paige Carter and Taylor Whaley it was their third straight regular season and playoff championship.

The South Portland American All-Stars poise for a team photo after winning the Little League 11- and 12-year-old state softball title on Sunday in Auburn. Amato's are 2009 SPALL Major Softball Champs!
The Amatos major softball team captured both the South Portland American League Championship and playoff title for the third year in a row with a decisive 7-1 victory over the VFW. The popular sandwich shop-sponsored team finished with a 13-1-1 record. Congratulations!

The Northeast Turf major baseball team captured the South Portland American Little League Major Baseball Championship. The boys in green defeated Willows Pizza and then Saco Biddeford Savings twice in the playoffs, both by a 2-0 score to capture the title.
