Welcome to South Portland American Little League, as we embark on our 55th year I want to welcome back all of our returning players and families and extend a special greeting to our new players with hopes that your experience with SPALL will be a positive and rewarding one!

As an avid baseball and softball fan it only seemed natural to take the helm as President this year and along with a very qualified and dedicated Board of Directors it is our hope that this year be another outstanding one for the boys and girls that make up the membership of South Portland American Little League.

As I write this message the snow is falling and not many people are thinking about baseball but the Board continues to meet regularly to ensure that the 2008 season starts on the right note. I encourage you to register your child using our on-line feature that also saves you money. SPALL depends on the generosity of its volunteers for coaching, umpiring, and administration. When registering this year, please consider assisting SPALL meet its mission of providing a quality sports experience for the boys and girls of South Portland.

Thank you to all of our South Portland families that are involved in this great league, I look forward to seeing you at the Field Days that are scheduled for April 19th & 20th and we will kick off the season at Opening Day on April 26th.
